Nothin Like a Botel Party

So designer, Ivan Fillipovic has made an awesome Botel concept for the Adriatic Sea. Botel = Boat + Hotel. The Botel will give guests accessibility to the most remote locations and is perfect for parties and other events by sea.

Google over everything... or not

So I've been on Google+ now for about 4 days now, but I've been researching it for weeks. I was really excited about it primarily because it had that mysterious vibe. Only certain people got invites to join at first and that made me want an invite so much more (kudos, Google). So finally, a coworker received an invite and invited me to join. So, what's my verdict?

It's not all that. Don't get me wrong, I think it could go places and I truly think people could take it and run with it, but I don't see that happening. Rumors before it's release to the public were saying that it was a mix between Facebook and Twitter which got me hype because I am obsessed with Twitter and well... everyone has Facebook. But I just don't see the connection. Yeah, the +1 buttons serve as somewhat of a 'like' button and your feed is like your timeline on Twitter, but sorting my friends into circles seems a bit ridiculous. I do like the concept of only sharing certain statuses for example: "what a rager last night, 5 beer bongs too many" with only my college friends and neutral statuses like: "can't wait for Harry Potter this weekend" with everyone. But, the accessibility to communicate with just one friend isn't up to par.

Yeah sure, you have "huddles" where you can video chat with friends in a one-on-one or group setting, but that's what skype is for. Also, this might just be me, but the only way I can group chat or one-on-one chat with a friend in one of my circles is on my Google+ application for my Android. If the small chat button to the left of the homescreen is supposed to be all that Google+ is offering for chat/group chat I'm HIGHLY disappointed. Idk. I obviously understand that it's still in the development stage but right now I just think its a bit of a cluster f*$&

Mmmm Motorola

So I'm an avid Android user #droidarmy. I currently have the original Motorola Droid for Verizon. I loved it when I first got it, but seeing how far the technology has come since the phone first came out, I am thirsty for more. I am in love with Motorola. I just think they make great phones. For the past few months I have been following updates on their new phone, the Motorola Droid Bionic, rumored to come out this fall. I love its sleek look and the fact that it has a camera on the front of it as well.
To me, it resembles the iPhone in a way. One of my biggest complaints about the first Motorola Droid is the fact that it's so square and bulky. The Bionic has nice rounded edges and a bigger screen. I also regretted just the day after I got the Droid the fact that I chose it over the Eris solely based on the fact that it had a physical keypad. I got used to typing on a touchscreen within a matter of hours (mind you, I was coming from the Voyager). The keyboard just adds sooo much extra bulkiness, so the Bionic looks like it'll be a nice change.

Now I'm a very impatient person. My EARLY upgrade in my contract is set for this August. However, the rumored release date is scheduled for early this fall. I will be highly highly disappointed if this phone doesn't come out mid September at the latest. Also, I hope it comes paired with plenty of accessories because a phone fresh-out-the-box is just asking to be broken.

That reminds me, Verizon recently threw out their unlimited data plans. I freaked out when I heard this too, trust me. I'm on my phone constantly and having my data speed reduced would kill me. Luckily for you guys (my zero followers...awesome) I did some research and found out in deed that current Verizon customers who have 3G smartphones WILL be eligible to be grandfathered into the old unlimited data plan when upgrading to a 3G OR 4G LTE smartphone. Excellent news. Many thanks, Verizon.

Anywho, check out the full specs for the Bionic here.

To Belieb or Not To Belieb

I follow a few blogs/sites and one of my favorites is Mashable.com. I came across a post today titled 'The 20 Most-Shared Video Ads This Month' and being the nerd that I am... I was shocked at how many I hadn't seen yet.

Their first featured video is a 'live' angry birds game if you will from T-Mobile... I want to do this... now. But my favorite is featured below... I'm not a Belieber or anything but I am a huge fan of Google and thought I'd share.
